Until now, our High School students have conducted most of their education in portable classrooms (which were only meant to be a temporary solution). Celebrating our 25th year of excellence in Christian education, the Maranatha School Board stepped out in faith to meet the need of our growing school community.
Expanded classroom options, two state-of-the-art Science Labs, Assembly Hall, lecture rooms, STEAM expansion, digital/fine art expansion, student center and extensive outdoor seating spaces
Greater curricular experiences, expanded course offerings (including expanding the Honors and 14 APs currently offered
Continuing to meet the need for College Preparatory education with small class sizes and highly qualified faculty
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics and cross-curricular collaboration and innovation

Our annual live musical performances showcase a cast of 100 students singing, dancing and acting and are enjoyed by people from the community.
We currently do not have a designated theatre. All Performances take place at Maranatha Chapel. A designated Performing Arts Studio will allow our students to develop their talents in a whole new way: equipped with a specialized dance floor, ballet bars, mirrors, stage curtains, dressing rooms and set design/storage, the new Performing Arts Studio will allow MCS to expand classes and performance opportunities.
Ability to teach all aspects of theatre: performing, stage management, set design, lighting, sound engineering and costuming
Expansion of our growing Band Program – opportunities for ensemble, jazz and orchestral work as our program expands
Designated state-of-the-art studio space for performances, multi-functional, allowing for greater community outreach

The 2014-15 Season saw the Eagles clinch the Ocean League Titles and CIF Playoff Berths for Varsity Football and Boys Soccer. Once again in 2015-16, both Varsity Football and Boys Soccer earned CIF Playoff Berths.
In 2015-16 the Eagles brought home the Ocean league title for Girls Volleyball, Girls Basketball, and Girls Soccer and made CIF Playoffs.
Our current facilities were built to accommodate a Junior High sports program. We are now fielding 13 High School CIF teams. The new athletic facilities will allow us to take our program to the next level and further develop Christian athletes to impact the world for Christ in ALL THINGS.
Revamped athletic facilities including football, soccer and baseball fields
Permanent bleachers to house all of our ever-expanding Eagles fans and more elbow room to the do the wave
Re-orienting the baseball field so that batters no longer hit directly into the sun, which prevents them from seeing the pitcher
"Teachers here at Maranatha love the students and they see the students as more than a number. They see us as individuals who can be used by God, and therefore, their teaching style impacts that area of our life as well." -MCS Senior

In order to continue to grow our school into the outstanding College Preparatory Program it is quickly becoming known for, we must be able to attract and retain highly qualified and called teachers, staff and faculty. Unfortunately, when it comes to funding our greatest resource – our teachers, staff and faculty – MCS has not kept pace with regional school districts. A recent analysis of salary comparisons, revealed a gap that places MCS employees below fair market compensation.
Our teachers are not only highly qualified in their respective fields, they are called to teach – not only at Christian schools, but specifically at Maranatha Christian Schools
The Annual Eagle Fund – rolled into the Answering the Call Campaign for the next three years – will fund a new salary matrix that will allow MCS to continue to retain exceptional teachers, staff and faculty as well as add to our growing school
We believe our human resource is our greatest asset: the one-on-one attention students receive from teachers in a discipleship relationship is life-changing as students seek to Answer the Call on their lives
